If you are Acne prone then I suggest that you use a good toner before your primer. Make sure your toner has Alpha Lipoic Acid, glycolic acid, and slicylic acid. Try these ingredients because these help to kill the bacteria that cause acne, help minimize pores and help smooth out the skin texture. Make sure if you really need primer go with an oil free one. Very important don’t use any products that contain mineral oils.

Thanks, I was always curious about this. I have a mac primer, but then I was scared to use it because I am acne prone. Then someone suggested a green tinted primer because I can hyperpigmentate easily…then when I went into ULTA the girl tells me to get an one of those oil absorbers – matte as a primer so I got that…so confusing – thanks for the article!

I like to know about more winter colors, such as deep reds… I personally, don’t like moist look, but prefer matte finish? Any suggestions?
