Today perfume has become a $10 billion industry. Every designer, celebrity, to sports MVP’s are coming out with their own signatures FRAGRANCES. Some of these icons have more than a few signature fragrances. With so many Fragrances to choose from, how do you know which one will be the right one for you. Today many women have fragrance wardrobes of at least six different perfumes, rather than a single signature perfume, keeping one special perfume for that special occasion. That’s what I call the signature fragrance.
Here are a few tips for choosing your right Fragrance
When in store spray a perfume and then walk around for a minimum of ten minutes to 2 hours. Some perfumes take more like half an hour or an hour to truly develop. For example, many Guerlain Fragrances do not convince me much at first Spray, but after an hour or so I love how they warm up to my body’s chemistry.
Seasons play an important part in picking your fragrances. During spring and summer most of us like very light, floral, and clean scents whereas in fall and winter more of a sexy, sweet, musky, some hints of floral and powdery scents are more popular.
Tricks to spraying a perfume
Apply perfumes to your pulse points such as the folds in the crook of your elbow and back of knees, wrist, neck and cleavage. Make sure you do not rub wrists together as this crushes the smell. Spraying a little into the air is also good if you walk straight into the perfume. This helps to diffuse it over your body. Do not simply apply to the neck always work up the body as the scent rises.
One way I always know that I love a fragrance is by how many people compliment me on it. Of all the fragrances I have ever tried, the one that I get more compliments than any other is “Angel” by Thierry Mugler still my favorite and my signature fragrance.
Here is a list of some of my favorite Fragrances and most of these are great for fall and winter but if you love it you can wear it year round.
These make great gifts
