The Queen of Talk Show is ending her long running show in two years, but she is not retiring. Oprah has turned ambitions toward her new cable television network, OWN, for Oprah Winfrey Network.
She is expected to make a formal announcement to the television audience on Friday November 20, 2009 syndicated talk show.
Oprah was quoted in a press statement in the OWN media information, saying that she has dreamed of creating a television network for years.
“Fifteen years ago, I wrote in my journal that one day I would create a television network, as I always felt my show was just the beginning of what the future could hold. For me, the launch of OWN is the evolution of the work I’ve been doing on television all these years and a natural extension of my show.” …Oprah Winfrey
